I have just had another session trying to print DWF files which someone had
created a bit off-centre (possibly it was central on their printer) and too
faint (possibly meant for reduced print to A3... which would have been
unreadable), with apparently no way to darken it. Although PDF's are bigger
and supposedly lower quality, there seems to be some control printing and I
don't believe folks I have sent them to ever had a problem. Also, more often
than not they don't have the PDF viewer.
Anyone else hopes they will go away one day soon?

I agree. I have nothing but bad experiences from dealing with DWF
files. Stuff a program full of possible ways to generate all sorts of
bad formats, and some guys are bound to use some of them.

Give them enough rope, and YOU will be dragged to the gallows. And they
will tie you with knots you don't understand.

I use PDF files when I send drawings to people without cadprograms, and
I create them with the wonderful app PDF 995 which is cheap (or free)
and fast.
